Why Mokhada?

Mokhada 2036 represents a long-term collaborative vision to help build Mokhada into the Best Tribal Block in Bharat - a place where children learn and thrive, families have greater opportunity, communities can access their rights and services, livelihoods grow, and development remains connected to the ecology and identity of the region.

This vision requires Government, communities, institutions, philanthropy, enterprise and civil society to work together over the long term.

“A Ride That Made All the Difference”
“I was 18 and expecting my first child when my labour began in Bhavaniwadi. A vehicle was arranged to take me to Khodala PHC early that morning, and from there I was quickly moved on to Mokhada Rural Hospital, and then to Javhar for the care I needed. At every step, there was transport waiting and a hospital ready to receive me. I had a normal delivery, and my daughter was born healthy, weighing 2 kilos 550 grams. I don't know what would have happened without that vehicle showing up on time."
